Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation (MAXIMUM FLOW
ONLY)
MAXIMUM FLOW ONLY allows for fast movement only. If
you move the auxiliary switch (1 or 3) [Figure 2], the
auxiliary functions move at fast speed; release the switch
to stop auxiliary functions.
Press the auxiliary hydraulics button (1) [Figure 1] a
second time.
The light (3) [Figure 1] will be ON.
To disengage, press the auxiliary hydraulics button (1)
[Figure 1] a third time.
Both lights (2 and 3) [Figure 1] will be OFF.
NOTE: When the operator is seated and raises the
seat bar, the Auxiliary Hydraulic System
(Front and Rear) will deactivate.
FRONT Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation (VARIABLE
FLOW)

Press the auxiliary hydraulics button for VARIABLE
FLOW (See Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation (VARIABLE
FLOW) on Page 3).
Push the switch (1) [Figure 3] to the right or left to
change the fluid flow direction of the front quick couplers.
(EXAMPLE: Open and close grapple teeth.)
FRONT Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation (MAXIMUM
FLOW)
Press the auxiliary hydraulics button for MAXIMUM
FLOW.
Push the switch (1) [Figure 3] to the right or left to
change the fluid flow direction of the front quick couplers.
(EXAMPLE: Open and close grapple teeth.)
Press again to disengage.

HYDRAULIC CONTROLS (CONT’D)
FRONT Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation
(CONTINUOUS FLOW)
After selecting VARIABLE or MAXIMUM FLOW, press
the front switch (2) [Figure 3] to give the front quick
couplers a constant flow of fluid with the female coupler
being pressurized. (EXAMPLE: Operate a backhoe.)
REVERSE CONTINUOUS FLOW - To set reverse flow
(male coupler pressurized), select VARIABLE or
MAXIMUM FLOW, then, while holding the auxiliary
switch (1) [Figure 3] to the left, press the front switch (2)
[Figure 3]. Reverse flow can be used only with augers,
power rakes, sweepers, tillers, and vibratory rollers.
To release from continuous operation, press the front
switch (2) [Figure 3] a second time.
REAR Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation (If Equipped)

The secondary front auxiliary quick couplers (1)
[Figure 8] are available a Field Installed Accessory.
These are used when there is a need for additional
auxiliary hydraulics (EXAMPLE: Planer side shift).
Connect the attachment to the secondary auxiliary
hydraulics (1) [Figure 8].
Set the Auxiliary Hydraulic Button for Variable Flow or
Maximum Flow Only. (See Auxiliary Hydraulics Operation
(VARIABLE FLOW) on Page 3) or (See Auxiliary
Hydraulics Operation (MAXIMUM FLOW ONLY) on
Page 3).

Engine stalls, hard to start, rough idling

CYLINDER HEAD/VALVE TROUBLESHOOTING

Engine top-end problems usually affect engine performance. These can be diagnosed by a compression test, or by tracing top-end noise with a sounding rod or stethoscope. If the performance is poor at low speeds, check for a white smoke in the crankcase breather tube. If the tube is smoky, check for seized piston ring

Push switch (1) [Figure 9] to the right or left to change
fluid flow direction. (EXAMPLE: Side shift on the Planer.)
NOTE: The secondary front auxiliary hydraulics and
the rear auxiliary hydraulics operate from the
same auxiliary section of the control valve. To
operate only one of these auxiliary functions,
disconnect the other.

Understand and comply with applicable laws
and regulations.
• Inspect work area for holes, drop-offs
or unstable ground.
• Know the weight limitations of operating
surfaces and clearances.
Changing and Using
Attachments
Make sure attachment is securely fastened to
loader. Bob-Tach levers should be fully down and
locked with wedges extended through attachment
mounting holes. Use only approved attachments.
For fast, secure attachment change.

Operator Training
While Operating
• Start loader with steering levers and hydraulic
controls in neutral. Keep bystanders away.
Move steering lever controls smoothly.
Hydrostatic drive systems are responsive
and loader will move immediately when
controls are activated. Do not pull back
suddenly on the steering lever controls
to stop loader. Slow down when
approaching the dump site.
Load, unload and turn on fl at,
level ground. Do not travel or
turn with lift arms up.
Keep bystanders away from loader and work
area. Do not raise the lift arms and attachment
over another worker.
Carry the load low.
Getting On and Off Safely
The attachment signs
(decals) and Operator’s
Handbook provide operating
and maintenance instructions.
Failure to follow warnings
and instructions can cause
serious injury or death.
Never exceed loader’s rated
operating capacity (ROC).
Use the correct size bucket for
the type and density of material
being handled.
Always look in the direction of travel.
Never carry riders or
use loader as a manlift.
Keep bystanders away from
the work area.
On slopes, keep heavy
end of loader uphill.
Travel directly up and down
slopes, not across them.
Keep hands and feet on controls or footrests.
Never lean out the front of the cab with the
engine running.
Never operate loader’s controls
from the ground.
Always sit in the operator’s seat
when activating the controls.
Keep the bucket level
when raising lift arms
to prevent material from
falling out of bucket.
Use the steps, grab-handles and
skid-resistant surfaces when
getting on or off the loader.
Do not jump off the loader.
